Chilean black sea bass, also called sea bass, is a flaky white fish incredibly rich in omega-3 fatty acids that is also known for its silky texture and delicate taste. Thanks to a strong presence of natural oil, it is difficult to miss cooking since this same oil prevents it from hardening unlike other types of fillets. There are many cooking styles suitable for this high-end fish and you will see that they all offer exquisite results. Grill it, pan fry it to give it a crust that will add to its deliciousness, or bake it in the oven with ease. Enjoy your sea bass as is, au natural, or try a creamy sauce coulis for a sweet treat. It pairs wonderfully with a side of rice, pasta or potatoes that you can dip in the sauce, and a side of crunchy green vegetables such as asparagus or broccolini.

Cooking mode
Thaw before cooking, either the day before in the refrigerator or in cold water for 25 to 30 minutes.
Baking: Preheat oven to 375°F. In a buttered pan, sear all 4 sides over high heat, starting with the skin (this releases flavorful fat to the fish). Finish in the oven for 6 to 9 minutes depending on the size of your piece
