Our Canadian giant scallops are as magnificent to see as they are to taste with their impressive size and delicate, pink appearance that resembles a disc.

Plus, they are incredibly juicy and superbly large with a thickness of one to one and a half inches (1 to 1.5 inches) and a diameter of one inch (1 inch). Their meat is tender and mild with a moderately sweet taste, greatly resembling that of crab and lobster. They are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids and magnesium.

Unlike the majority of scallops on the market, they are easy to cook thanks to their giant size and superior quality. Because they are so large and succulent, they easily forgive small culinary deviations, are easy to prepare and will not become rubbery. The versatility of these popular scallops means they can be cooked and enjoyed in many ways. Grill them in a pan on the stove or on the barbecue for a super easy meal to prepare.

Sea scallops can be used in a thousand and one ways! Enjoy them as a main meal for a most glorious dish, accompanying them with roasted or au gratin potatoes with sautéed or grilled vegetables. They are also a superb option for enhancing a pasta dish, risotto or salad. Little pro tip: soak your scallops in milk before cooking to make them even more tender.

Each box contains 2 sealed one-kilogram (1 kg) bags of Canadian sea scallops for an approximate total of 15 to 20 scallops per bag.

Cooking mode

Thaw before cooking, either the day before in the refrigerator or in cold water for 35-40 minutes.

Cooking in a pan: In a pan with fat and medium-high heat, cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side.

Important: to eat raw (tartar, sushi and/or poke bowl preparation), make sure you have defrosted using the cold water method just before use.
