Our bluefin tuna steaks are also a superb and delicious alternative to beef steaks in addition to being an excellent source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids. Each piece of tuna is one inch to one twenty-five inches (1 to 1.25 inches) thick and has a nice red color denoting nice freshness. Their superior quality makes them ideal for making your favorite raw recipes like sushi, tataki and tartare.
You can cook it in a number of ways with equally appetizing results every time. If you want to prepare a quick and tasty meal, grill your tuna on each side for 30 seconds over medium heat and slice it into pieces to then garnish with your favorite salad. So many different ways to prepare it, on the barbecue or on the oven grill, on a skewer or sliced to make hamburgers, and even cooked in a casserole, the famous and versatile tuna steak offers you a wide range of culinary options to create fabulous meals for you.
Each box contains 1.8kg of fresh frozen tuna steaks giving you approximately 6-9 pieces per box. Also, rest assured, the superior quality of bluefin tuna will keep even after six months in the freezer.
Thaw before cooking, either the day before in the refrigerator or in cold water for 25 to 30 minutes.
Baking: Preheat oven to 375°F. In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear for 1 to 2 minutes per side. On a baking sheet, transfer to the oven and cook for 6 to 8 minutes.
Important: To eat raw (tartar, sushi and/or poke bowl preparation), make sure you have defrosted using the cold water method just before use.
