Tomahawk steak is also known as rib-eye steak or rib steak in French, and is characterized by its incredible tenderness and buttery aroma. You can also cook it on the oven grill (the “broil” function in English) at ultra-high temperature or on the stovetop in a cast iron skillet. Cooking mode

Thaw before cooking, either the day before in the refrigerator or in cold water for 40 to 50 minutes

BBQ cooking:

  1. Heat an outdoor grill to the highest heat.
  2. Season the steaks generously with salt (and pepper to taste). Get the top, bottom and all sides.
  3. Sear the steak for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, letting the flames lick the sides.
  4. Transfer the steak to a plate and let rest for 5 to 10 minutes

Pan and oven cooking: Preheat the oven to 375°F . Once the tomahawk is evenly browned on all sides, place it on a rack and put it in the oven. Cook for about 20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F-135°F, remember that the internal temperature of the steak will continue to rise after it comes out of the oven.
